Jessica Ashleigh Pomeroy is an emerging director, producer ]and teaching artist located in NYC, who will be graduating in May with her BFA in drama with a concentration in directing from The New School of Drama.  Jessica has also worked as a director at the Writopia Worldwide Plays Festival, and as a production intern with the PROTOTYPE Festival at HERE Arts Center. She currently works as a Teaching Artist with Wingspan Arts. She is also currently working on her thesis at The New School of Drama, a new musical entitled Wrong Crowd by playwright Federica Borlenghi.

What A Production!, powered by Main Stages, a leading educational theater company, is Day Camps@The J’s popular 4-week theater specialty camp.Campers experience all aspects of theater production, from choreography to set and costume design. The actors spend their mornings creating zany characters, learning dance moves, singing, and playing theater games. All the fun and learning leads up to performing a show for the whole Day Camps@The J community! What A Production! offers a supportive environment where all are encouraged to use their creativity and imagination.

In addition to producing a musical, participants enjoy the Day Camps@The J elective programs and free swim in the afternoon.  It’s the very best of both worlds!

  • One 4-week session: June 24 – July 19

  • Afternoon electives: Campers have the freedom to choose two electives per week from a menu of amazing activities, including dual ziplines, archery, rocketry, cooking, guitar, set design and more!

  • Afternoon free swim

  • Participation in Day Camps@The J weekly Color War

  • Special Friday Shabbat BBQ lunch

  • Enrollment includes daily snack, all programs, costumes, and special events and trips

  • Extended hours available: Breakfast Club starting at 7:30 a.m. and Late Stay until 6 p.m.
